Time source & synchronisation

ReferenceGNSS/GPS satellite time (UTC) from a GNSS-disciplined PTP grandmaster — a Timebeat Timecard Mini with PPS, to ~4 ns.
DistributionPTP / IEEE 1588 (Layer 2) to the hypervisor hosts, with hardware timestamping on the NICs.
ServersTwo independent stratum-1 NTP servers on separate hosts, for redundancy.
AccuracyNanosecond-order internally; sub-microsecond to GNSS/UTC as served.
MonitoringContinuously cross-checked against ntp.time.nl, ntp.vsl.nl, time.cloudflare.com and time.google.com.

Use it

Add the servers to your time daemon. With chrony (/etc/chrony/chrony.conf):

server ntp.as215248.net iburst server ntp2.as215248.net iburst

Or with systemd-timesyncd (/etc/systemd/timesyncd.conf):

[Time] NTP=ntp.as215248.net ntp2.as215248.net
Scores and offsets update automatically from the NTP Pool monitoring network on each site build · last synced 2026-07-20 05:42 UTC.
